Small Groups at UEBC Kirkby Stephen
Something for you – Connect, Transform, Send
Wednesday evenings (Term time only) are our regular ‘Digging Deeper’ bible study and prayer evenings. Our aim is to delve into the depths of the bible using study guides to help us understand biblical truths and principles. However our aim is not just to understand the bible, the more important aspect is then taking the principles and applying them to our own lives. Although this is a ‘Digging Deeper’ bible study it is available to anyone who really wants to understand the bible better.
On the third Wednesday of the month we have an informal Communion Service and Prayer Meeting, which is a quieter time for reflection rather than study, and may include one or two songs and a short bible thought.
We start at 7.30pm, please contact for details on the weekly location.
Every other Monday afternoon (Term time only) we have our second small group. This is a more informal conversation about the previous Sunday’s bible reading. This time is based in church, around a coffee and cake. Lasting for about an hour it is a chance for folk to get together and discuss what the preacher has said on Sunday, ask further questions, seek clarification on issues and generally natter over what has been said in the main church service. To help stimulate discussion there will be a few general questions on which to based conversations.
This is a new venture for UEBC Kirkby Stephen starting September 2016 and is designed for those who either cant make Wednesday evenings, don’t like coming out on the dark nights and for those who are interested in prodding further into the bible in a more relaxed laid back kind of way.
This will be every other Monday afternoon at 1.30pm in the back room in the main Church building. (Using the back door as an entrance.) For further information and exact dates contact; firstname.lastname@example.org
